Community Guidelines shiftX

The shiftX Community was created as a channel for the lively exchange of information within our customer network. To guarantee compliance with legal requirements and to facilitate constructive and pleasant communication between members of the community, there are some basic rules that must be followed at all times. 

By using the features of the shiftX Community at https://members.shiftx.eu you declare that you agree to the following rules.

We reserve the right to adapt these community guidelines if we believe this is necessary or if this should become necessary in order to comply with legal requirements. You should therefore read the community guidelines before you make a post or comment.

Community membership

• All shiftX customers are hereby invited to take part in the lively exchange of opinions and information, once they have registered as members of the community. 

• Membership is free of charge for shiftX customers.

• shiftX’s data protection terms applicable to the use of the shiftX Community can be viewed at LINK. When registering, you have the (non-mandatory) option to upload a photo of yourself, which will be shown to other community members in your profile or when you post. You can delete the photo at any time. Please use your real name and your own profile and never impersonate another person when posting or commenting.

Expressing your opinion in posts and comments

• You can express your experiences and opinions about the shiftX Community in posts and comments. Of course, posts you make can be changed or deleted at a later date.

• When writing a post or comment, please bear in mind that it should be worded as relevantly, clearly and unambiguously as possible. Where possible, back up your opinion with facts. If you use quotes, please cite their sources.

• You must not create any content that could threaten, insult, harass or be considered rude by others.

• Statements that contain hatred or intolerance of other people on the basis of their ethnicity, nationality, sex or gender identity, religion, sexual orientation, age or disability are not permitted.

• Make sure that you do not violate the privacy of others, such as by revealing private telephone numbers, email addresses, residential addresses or other personal details.

• When you respond to a post by another member of the community, please be respectful, even if you do not share the same opinion. To avoid repetition, read through comments on a discussion thread before you make your own post.

• When making statements in posts or comments, be aware that they can be read by any member of the shiftX Community.

• Only use links to another website if its content complies with these shiftX Community guidelines. Links using URLs with referral tags or affiliate codes are not permitted.

• It is not permitted to publish content by other community members outside of the shiftX Community without the express consent of the relevant rights holder.

Documents and uploads

• You have the option to also upload documents with posts, which makes them available to all members of the community.

• The maximum file size is 5 MB per file. Permitted formats are: .jpg, .png, .bmp, .doc, .xlm and .pdf.

• Please check the documents for viruses or other malware before you upload them.

• Observe the principle of intellectual property. Only post your own content or content which you are entitled to use.

Unlawful content

• Do not publish any content that promotes or supports unlawful behavior.

• Do not publish any content that violates intellectual property or other rights.

• Do not publish any content that is slanderous, insulting, threatening, obscene, racist, sexist, homophobic, incorrect or misleading, or that discriminates against people due to their religion, ethnicity, sex or gender identity, sexual orientation, age or disability. 

Advertising content

• Advertising by a member of their own or third-party products and services within the shiftX Community is only permitted if shiftX has expressly granted its permission to this in writing.

Reporting abuse

• If you believe that a post or comment does not comply with these community guidelines or violates a law, please use the corresponding “Report comment” button or inform the administrator of the shiftX Community. This option should only be used for serious complaints and not because you do not agree with a post or comment by another member of the community and have another opinion.

Violation of community guidelines

• We may hide or delete posts, comments or other content that violate these community guidelines or the law.

• We may hide or delete posts, comments or other content that violate copyright-protected material until the community member responsible for the publication has, at the request of shiftX, provided sufficient evidence that they are authorized to publish said content.

• Community members who commit severe or persistent violations of these community guidelines may be temporarily or permanently banned from using the community.

• Community members who conceal their true identity or impersonate other people may be temporarily or permanently banned from using the shiftX Community services.

Declaration data protection

Registering for the shiftX Community 

As an shiftX customer, you can register on this website to use the shiftX Community in order to use additional functions on the site. We only use the data entered for the purpose of enabling your use of the respective site or service you have registered for. The mandatory information requested during registration must be provided in full. Otherwise, we will reject the registration. 

For major changes, for example in the scope of the site or necessary technical changes, we use the email address provided during registration to inform you. 

The data entered during registration is processed for the purpose of conducting the user relationship established during registration and, if applicable, to enter into further contracts (point b of Art. 6(1) GDPR). 

The personal data recorded during registration is stored by us for as long as you are registered on this website and will then be deleted. Legal storage periods remain unaffected. 

shiftX Community functions and storage of your data

When creating posts and using the comment function on this site, information about the time the post or comment is created, your name or your chosen user name, your email address and your IP will be stored in addition to your post or comments. 

Since we do not check the posts and comments on this website before posting, we need this data to take action against the author in the case of legal infringements or violations of our community guidelines. 

Storage duration of posts and comments 

The posts and comments as well as the related data are stored and remain on this website until the content of the post or comment has been fully deleted or has to be deleted for legal reasons (e.g. offensive comments). 

Legal basis 

Posts and comments are stored on the basis of your consent (point a. Art. 6(1) GDPR). Your may revoke your consent at any time. It is sufficient to send an informal message to us via email. The legality of the data processing that has already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.
